1 – Data collection and privacy

We use Google Analytics to anonymously track user clicks on our player. We do this to improve our product. By using the Piste View player you should understand that by default Google Analytics will collect anonymous data relating to player usage. Should you object to submitting anonymous data to us via Google Analytics then you can:

GA opt-out
There are ways to stop the transfers of anonymous data to Google, one of which is provided by Google itself. The browser add-on can be downloaded here:

https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Piste View Ltd has no control over the functioning of this add-on nor cannot make any warrant as to the operational effectiveness of a browser opt-out tool and by extension the level to which the use of this tool renders the user interaction with Piste View products untracked and free from digital data submission.

Desist use
If you still have concerns regarding the collection of anonymous data then we recommend that users desist from using the Piste View player. This is the most secure way to ensure that your privacy will not be affected.

2 – Incidental appearance

We endeavour to film the slopes and not individuals. Inevitably there will be individuals who are filmed incidentally as part of the filming process. In almost all cases of incidental appearance individuals cannot be identified by facial features. Should an individual make an incidental appearance on one of our videos and they feel that they are facially recognisable, they can contact us to have the section of the video randomised. We require precise details of the appearance, on which video and at what precise point the identification take place. We take privacy seriously but retain the right to judge incidental appearances on individual merit and then decide on action.
