Just finished the latest design changes and tested them above Innsbruck – the hardware that is set to be adapted for snow use showed great promise. There are a number of easy tweaks that were spotted but yes a great test day, even if there was no snow on the ground!
We have been doing Piste Views for many years now and are now within reach of the illusive steadycam shots of the ski pistes as you and I see them. I think we are on version 8 now and all is set for a spring filming fest with the higher Austrian resorts as well as [...]
Taken last year using a helmet camera the video shows s ski from Zell am Ziller, through Gerlos, into Konigsleiten and over the ski bridge into the start of the Hochkrimml ski area.

So here it is – the first Piste View video albeit using the old camera and hardware, you get the idea though. Blue 38 piste in Solden links the Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers through a ski tunnel.
So the weather is right and we are ready to go. The glaciers in Austria are in great shape and after a few more tweaks we will be ready to start the project to film the ski pistes of the Austrian Alps. From there we head out in all directions:)
